The instructions include a scale parts sheet for organizing, and we also included a few extra pieces of some of the smaller bits. The wood can be stained or painted and even sealed for outdoor use. The kit includes an optional plant spike for displaying the finished piece in a potted plant or (after sealing the wood) in your garden or flowerbeds. This kit is low to moderate
